The History Of Guercio's On Grant Street (Video)
You have probably seen their trucks and vans delivering imported produce to restaurants all across Western New York. And chances are that you've also driven by Guercio's Old World Market on Grant St.
Since 1961, Guercio's has been the local purveyor of some of the freshest produce and fruits, as well as imported oils and deli meats to Buffalo's Italian community.
Throughout the years, Guercio's has somehow managed to fend off large competitors such as Wal-Mart by providing personal and quality services to its clients. In the process of reinventing itself, the iconic fixture in Buffalo's West Side has done what few local business are able to do in the hyper-competitive food and groceries business: grow.
Now, thanks to WKBW-TV, you can watch a video giving us a brief history of the historic Guercio's with the man himself.
Next time you pack your picnic basket, remember to stop by Guercio's & Sons!
