Buffalo Is The Most Affordable And Walkable Neighborhood In The Country
Buffalo is at the top of the list of "12 Cities Where You Can Live Affordably in a Walkable Neighborhood", according to Walk Score, an organization that focuses on promoting walkable neighborhoods.
Buffalo bested cities such as Sacramento, Chicago and Baltimore to earn the top spot on the list.
To determine which cities would rank on its list, Walk Score looked at Cost of Living Index, average rents and "Walk Score" data for every major city in the country.
Ranking it at number 1, here's what Walk Score had to say about the Queen City:
Despite, the long, cold winters, this once-great industrial hub in western New York is home to a vibrant community of young professionals and students in walkable areas like Bryant and Front Park. Located where the Niagara River flows out of Lake Erie, Buffalo boasts great nightlife, an emerging dining scene, and neighborhoods with a strong sense of community.
