The Best Video About Buffalo
There's more to Buffalo than lake-effect snow and chicken wings. And this video proves it.
If you've ever discussed Buffalo with out-of-towners, chances are the topic of snow or whether you dip your wings in blue cheese or ranch dressing inevitably comes up. But just how do you get them to see past the blizzard of '77 or the Anchor Bar?
Easy. Just share this video with them: Buffalo: This Place Matters
A few years ago the Buffalo Niagara Convention & Visitors Bureau commissioned a promotional video that turned out to be the best video about Buffalo I have ever seen.
Over the years the video has garnered over a quarter-million views - 281,636 to be exact - on YouTube, a smash-hit by regional standards considering the population of the City of Buffalo is around 260,000.
With Buffalo experiencing a revival of sorts, along with a renewed sense of optimism, perhaps now is a good time to revisit this breathtaking production featuring the majestic beauty that is the Queen City.
"Buffalo is steeped in a series of historical narratives. From the Iroquois Nation to the terminus of the Erie Canal and the westward expansion that emanated from there...". So begins the opening statement. From there, a bevy of local notables take viewers aboard an exploration of the city's architectural gems, neighborhoods, natural beauty and historical significance that are unique to Buffalo.
